Design concepts, what are design concepts, there are several, however, I will discuss, two concepts color and contrast.
Who isn’t affected by colors, we all are, colors can enlighten a situation a mood, a thought, and most of all catch your attention.
Contrast plays a role with color, the brighter the image mentally causes a person to directly focus on the image or phrase, the darker the contrast, we mentally ignore or it can bring your emotions to another emotion.
The images chosen have displayed both color and contrast, it displays how they both work together to bring the audience’s attention to the message with a positive message.
First the rainbow pony, the pony having a brighter hues of blue and tones of darker pink for the mane, as the color blue tends to represent calmness and pink warmth although the contrast with the colors of the entire picture shows warmth and draws the audience’s inner emotions.
Second the watermelon picture the colors green and red, the contrast of the colors is allowing the red to be the main focal point, which is mentally stimulating to a succulent mouthful of flavor.
I believe both pictures did effectively represent the focal point, the pony gave me calmness but yet a sense of trust and warmth, and the watermelon made me desire to devour a piece of ice color flavor busting taste.
In all the designs tingled an emotional and tasteful feeling, I do think the watermelon photo could have been displayed with a background image of a picnic or a scene at a park with people.
